The ATS turbine heat shield is constructed from high tech, heat resistant materials, able to withstand 2500 degrees of peak heat and 1800 degrees of sustained temperatures. The benefits of a turbine shield include decreasing under-hood temperatures while increasing horsepower and torque. The ATS turbine heat shield also provides quicker spool times when compared to running your turbo with no shielding.

Recorded temperatures at the turbo compressor inlet showed lower surface temperatures, with horse power and torque increases. There was also a decrease in turbocharger spool times. Along with increased performance, you also have the added benefits of lower under hood temperatures which correlates to increased radiator performance, cooler intake temperatures, longer life for vacuum lines, wiring harnesses and under-hood electronic components.
