The new Flaming River 1965-66 Impala/Caprice Power Rack and Pinion Cradle Kit has 6" of travel, provides full lock-to-lock turning radius and has an adjustable pinion angle. This kit uses a travel bar design to properly position the steering pivot points to the original location and deliver original turning radius and the stabilizer guide clamp provided added stability while driving. Our rack and pinion systems use the factory tie rods to connect the travel bar to the vehicle's spindles.This kit installs in the original mounting holes for the steering box and idler arm assembly and does not require any cutting, drilling, or welding and installs with basic hand tools.
