This steel frame rail adapter kit alters the crossmember attachment holes on 1978-87 A/G-body cars that do not have a THM200R4 frame rail extension on the Driver (left) side. The adapter allows you fasten Trans-Dapt's 6422 LS into 1978-88 GM A-Body and G-Body transmission crossmember to the frame. Trans-Dapt's #6422 crossmember is for installing a T56, TH400, 4L60, 65, 70 or 4L80E transmission with an LS engine in 1978-81 GM A-Body, or 1982-88 GM G-Body cars.
