This Trans-Dapt Performance Street and Strip oil pan is an ideal entry-level performance oil pan, and fits 1955-78 SB Chevy (283-400) engines in most production chassis that utilize a rear sump oil pan (*Will Not Fit 1962-67 Chevy II, some early model Chevelles, or V8 Vegas and Monzas with steering behind the crossmember. For these applications use Trans-Dapt #7569). The pan measures 7-1/4" deep, giving it excellent ground clearance, yet still has a generous 8 quart oil capacity. Its all-steel construction makes it strong, lightweight and affordably priced. The Black finish makes it look great. Gaskets, bolts and pick-up not included.
